Today I am sharing a card I am going to upload to participate in the 2017 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. There are 80 amazing companies sponsoring this event! How fabulous. Thank you sponsors! I thought I’d join in the fun and submit a few cards of my own. I love this Simon Says Stamp and Greeting Farms collaboration stamp from Stamptember – Spice It up. What better way to make a Winter Coffee card. I started by stamping the two girls from the stamp set with Simon Says Stamp Intense Blank Ink. This has been a great ink for me; no color bleeding of any sort with any product I’ve used. I like to color by using my markers and laying the ink on a acrylic block and picking up the color with a lightly wet brush. This technique works good for me as my paper can be any brand and I can control how much water goes on the paper. Once I had the images colored with my “water color” markers, I used my pens nibs to add details to the mugs and clothing. I brought in my pencils to do some details to the hair. Once I was satisfied with the girls, it was time to prepare the final cards. I used this wonderful 6×6 paper pack from Pink Fresh Studios – Oh Joy (I love this paper pack). I selected the patterned paper with the presents, die cut with the My Favorite Things STAX stitched rectangle die the size I needed. I picked my sentiment from The Cat’s Pajamas – Fat Cat stamp set and with my stamp positioner tool placed and stamped the sentiment with the Intense Black Ink. I love how the sentiment (When you stop Believing you get Underwear) mixed with the paper image of a stack of presents and the girl holding her coffee is making the scene. Its as though she were out shopping for her holiday presents and you can wonder what you’ll be getting. I adhered to my A2 paper, some dark blue card stock, the the pattern paper then popped up my girl with some foam mounting tape. To send my holiday greeting, I added the Merry Christmas (from Fat Cat as well) in a speech bubble by the girl. I love how CAS of a design this is. Now, I’ve got to get my cards mailed out :). I hope you’ve got your’s done.
