I have created a card using a design from the Coffee Loving Card Blog – Sunday Sip and Share.
The CAS design is shown below. It is so very basic but was still fun to create with. To create my card, I used distress oxide brown inks and covered a panel. Then using the Altenew Coffee Talk stamp set, I sprayed my selected stamp image with water then placed on the card panel to activate the distress oxide ink. This technique leaves a watermark impression. I liked the watermark look as I was emulating the coffee cup stains that can be left behind by a damp cup where ever it had been placed. I used my Lawn Fawn Valentine border arrow die and placed it right down the middle of my panel. This is representing the ribbon/string from the sketch. Next, I selected the coffee pot from Altenew Coffee Love stamp set and stamped it on white cardstock, then I embossed my sentiment from the same stamp set over the coffee pot image. I die cut the images into a rectangle tag then used distress walnut ink to tint the four sides. Lastly, I colored in the coffee pot and using dimensional tape adhered to my card base. I use a bow die cut and added it the top to go with my arrow ribbon/string.
I will be submitting this to the following challenges:
- CLC Sip & Share
- Simon Says Stamp Monday – Tag it
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday – Layer it
