Sweet Pea

I just love Sweet Peas and was very happy with the My Monthly Hero (Hero Arts) monthly kit released July 2017.  It had lovely floral images with sweet peas and lavender for which you could color up different colors to represent different flowers.

My card today showcases a technique I learned from the Kit and Clowder monthly online coloring classes.  I think all of Alyce’s students eagerly await each class and then if you are a subscriber the free bonus class a few weeks later.  The class I am referring to was a special class where she showed with markers and pencils how to color up metals.  There was a lesson on copper and copper with patina.  I watched and learned and most importantly, practiced.  Alyce always emphasizes in her classes that it all takes time and practice.   Practice, I did and each time, I liked the results a little better.

Below is my card.  I used Mi Tientes white paper and Prismacolor pencils.  Coloring is so theraputic, that if you needed to make many of these cards, you could easily stamp them out and take them on the go.  There weren’t too many pencil colors used which makes on the go coloring simple.  Enjoy the images below.  If you are interested in the Kit and Clowder classes, let Alyce know I sent you.
