Spring is here with Power Poppy

Have you visited the Power Poppy store?  Oh.  They have such beautiful, beautiful stamps!  I love to color them up.  Its a small little online store, and Marcella is so sweet, each order comes with a handwritten note!  Recently there was a sale and besides a few stamp sets, I purchased up a few digi’s.  If you haven’t used digi’s before, their website has a great tutorial to walk you through using them.

I’ve colored up the Dancing with Daffodils with my Prismacolor pencils (which are fabulous and affordable).  I love with the digi images you can change the size to larger or smaller or isolate just one area.  I LOVE daffodils (well, all spring flowers and that is why we got married in May).  I knew the daffodil would be yellow, of course!  I wasn’t sure what color to make the periwinkle vine so I checked images of it and mostly they are blue.  When I saw this weeks Power Poppy Hues to Use, and they had a burgundy color, I checked and sure enough, periwinkle vines are in red.  I found this one image so striking, I tried to imitate it.  It had this bright pinky color at the base of the petal before the red petals.  They were so gorgeous, I had to try.  I am very pleased with the outcome.  Lastly, I had to color up Mr. Snail.  How cute is he (as he is NOT in my garden)?

Well, below is my finished design and I have to say I feel so much better having colored up a Power Poppy image.  The 30 Day Coloring Challenge is just around the corner, and surprisingly, I have a whole bunch more Power Poppy images all ready to color up.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you enjoy my card and will visit the Power Poppy site.
