Today I’m sharing with you a card I created using the Craftin Desert Divas digital image: Cactus Coffee. If you aren’t too familiar with using digital images, there are lots of online tutorials and if you drop me a note, I can share what I know. What I love about digital images is that they are immediately accessible and the flexibility. You can resize bigger, smaller, just a portion of the image, whatever suits your project. My card today uses the full image, and isn’t this cactus adorable?
I’d also like to send a Thank You to Crafin Desert Divas as they are a Super Sponsor to the 2018 Spring/Summer Coffee Lover’s blog hop. Please take a minute to visit their site: Craftin Desert Divas. Their blog is here.
I printed my image on alcohol marker safe paper using my ink jet printer. I used a combination of Altenew Artist Markers and Prismacolor Pencils to color this cactus up. The green of the background was created using citron distress oxide ink. I used some glassine paper in an embossing folder (all those coffee cups) and adhered it onto the green background. This embossing folder is from Tim Holtz, Coffee Time stamp, die and folder set. I fussy cut Mr. Cactus and his heart. I adhered the sentiment to Mr. Cactus, then foam mounted him and the heart bubble while leaving bubbles ‘dots’ flat on the background.
I’ll be entering this in the following challenges:
2018 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop (this is rockin’ if you havn’t visited yet, GO 🙂 )
