AI – Impressions

A good friend of mine sent me an Art Impressions watercolor stamp set for my birthday and I’m playing with it today. WOW, what fun, and so darn easy.  I have my very old Stampin UP markers (water based), which still work wonderfully.  I used the markers to color on the stamp itself, then I stamped it onto water color paper (Canson XL).  Using water and a paintbrush, I ‘pulled’ and moved the color from the stamped image leaving this beautiful watercolor finish.  This card only used a few stamps: the barn, the tree, the pink and purple flowers (tiny), and grass (tiny), and of course the sentiment.  I really felt this could be a good masculine card: Father’s Day or birthday but for me this sentiment was more useful.  Once my simple watercoloring was done I just mounted with foam tape, complimentary card stock on both top and bottom of the final image. I just love how this turned out and it was so easy!  If you haven’t experimented with Art Impression Stamps, I highly recommend them.

I’ll be submitting this to the following challenges:

    • Thank you, Jen. It really is easy. I was so surprised. You could stamp a few out and take them on the go without needing a lot of supplies.
