The April 2018 class from Kit & Clowder (Alyce) was coloring an image called Squeak Shake from Di’s Digi’s. I love these classes as you learn so much, then later you can then apply to other projects you are working on. The shake in this class was colored initially as chocolate and the alternate was strawberry. I followed the tutorial in chocolate and knew I wanted to come back and color it up in strawberry (I really don’t care for chocolate, as you can see from my new coloring). For the month of June, Kathy Racoosin has been hosting her 10th Daily Marker challenge. This challenge is to set aside just a few minutes daily to color. It has been proven that setting aside time like this for yourself has many benefits, such as reducing stress, lowering blood pressure and more. My next project for daily coloring was this strawberry coloring. As well, the June class worked on coloring fur, so it inspired me to have another try at the fur on these mice as well.
Below I’m showing you the first coloring in chocolate that I did in April. The strawberry shake I just finished up. I took many liberties with the strawberry shake and just worked slowly over a few days and just had fun with it. I found I was able to pull so many techniques from past classes that I’ve learned. I also started using some of my own color combinations. Take a peek below.
