I’m sharing a card today that I made from the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero and combined it with a previous Hero Art kit as well. I’ll be submitting this to the A Blog Named Hero challenge which is Monochromatic.
This card I got the idea from watching the hand letters. They are often doodling and drawing images in black Micron pens. I used a few images from the Autumn kit and made a floral background in black and white imitating the doodling I’ve seen. I layered this onto a piece of black cardstock. In keeping with the monochromatic theme, I used the Thank You dies from the Hero Arts March 2018 kit. I die cut these in black 4 times and stacked and glued these together. When I added the white Thank You to the top, I slightly offset each to give the illusion of a shadow. I really think this adds a nice touch and helps to show off the letters. If it was just white, they would be lost on the card. I then adhered the Thank You to the black and white card panel, completing the card.
Below are a few photos! Hope you are inspired to try a monochromatic card.
