I am enrolled in the Kit & Clowder marker and pencil classes.  You can enroll in one class or both.  They both release on the 15th of every month. Alyce the instructor provides a workbook, videos and many different options for coloring mediums/alternatives.  THEN, if you continue your enrollment, there is a ‘bonus’ class that she does as well.  If you aren’t familiar with Kit & Clowder, be sure to take a minute and follow the link.  These classes are fabulous and very affordable.

Now, to my card.  I’ve just completed the Kit & Clowder November marker class.  The image is from Power Poppy – Snowdrops and Tea Roses; beautiful image.  I have a select set of markers so following the classes using the exact same marker is not usually an option.  As Alyce explains the class is more about technique than the image or using the same marker colors.  One of the many techniques we learned was toning.  My roses all have similar shades of pink but then tonally, I have changed the hue to pink/red, light pink and a purple variation.  For my leaves, again I didn’t have the same colors as the class, but I was still able to complete the lesson using different colors and learning how to make variances.
