I am please to say in September 2018 I completed my journey though the Altenew Educator Certification Program. As such, I have instructed two on site classes since and am looking forward to my third on January 19. I’ve really enjoyed this program as it has provided me with additional ways to enhance my creativity. I’ve personally enhanced my card designs utilizing the many techniques that are expounded upon. The Altenew Educator Certification program, being on online class, is self paced which is great if you are a busy person. You can adjust your schedule as necessary. I’ve also grown in my confidence as I am hosting classes where my attendees are loving the Altenew product line and excited to share in the techniques I can teach them. It’s a very rewarding feeling.
Today I am sharing with you four quick and easy cards I created using my favorite line of Altenew stamps and dies – The Build a Flower (Peruvian Lily aka Alstroemeria). What I love about this line, is it makes for quick and beautiful cards. You quickly and easily stamp multiple images of the layering florals and die cut them with the coordinating die. Once this is done, you can place some card bases down and begin your creative card making. The florals and sentiments with the Build A Flower stamp set line really make this process easy.
The cards I am showing you, I’ve incorporated concepts I’ve taken away from the many Altenew online classes I’ve completed. I’ve used dry embossed stenciling as well as inked stenciling, Altenew marker to create a frame, ink splattering, and glitter tape for sparkle and pizzazz. These are just a few of the take away ideas you’ll learn from the Altenew classes.
If you are currently enrolled, congratulations and I am sure you are having a great time. If you are not enrolled, please consider the program. There are so many techniques and ideas shared in this program that your creative-self will be taken to a new level.
Now for my cards. I’ve used the Altenew Build A Flower – Peruvian Lily and two stencils for the backgrounds: Elegant Swirls and Molded Lines. The flowers were stamped with: Rose Petal mini inks, Red Sunset mini inks and Shades of Purple mini inks. The leaves were stamped with Green fields mini inks. I used the Altenew Buttercream and Dew Drops for the backgrounds.
Also, I will randomly choose a winner from the comments left on this blog post to win a $15 gift certificate to the Altenew Online Store. All 4 of your cards are gorgeous! The way you used the stamps, stencils, colors, all together is simply beautiful! I love how the layering stamps make me look like I’m an artist when I am so not lol. I have a special fondness for the BAF Peruvian Lily, it was the first BAF and the first layering set I saw when I started getting interested in card making last year. It’s still one of my favorite Altenew sets but believe it or not I have not purchased it yet lol, I really must do that. Thank you for sharing your experience with the Altenew Educator Certification Program, your cards, and for the inspiration. (mardy14@bellsouth.net)
